Founded in 1989 by Mark Hurst, CSI is privately owned and fully independent. We operate with complete discretion. All our customers are treated equally. Whatever your role in the coal market, you can be assured of our integrity.

We are the only company that gathers data directly from buyers and sellers of physical coal. We have a team of researchers updating information daily. We provide intelligence and insight to answer the needs of the market. Based on this, we have developed powerful tools to help you source, blend, cost and exchange coal and coal products in real time.
